We're heading to the Ticketing Professionals Conference 2025

January always seems to have a touch of Schrödinger’s cat about it. It somehow manages to be the longest month of the year, while also flying by in the blink of an eye. But as 2025 marches on, we must turn our minds to the year ahead.

We’re looking forward to attending the Ticketing Professionals Conference again in March. We are pleased to expand our involvement this year, coming on board as a sponsor as well as an exhibitor. We’re also excited to be speaking at two sessions across the conference, Ticketing 101 and Ask a developer.

Outside the sessions, you’ll find us at the exhibitors’ hall in The Midland Hotel’s Alexandra Suite, where we’ll be showcasing some of our recent functionality developments including our ChatGPT-powered Business Intelligence and Prospects and Topics, our flexible fundraising and sales tools.

The Ticketing Professionals Conference 2025, the event for ticketing, marketing and revenue specialists is taking place in Manchester from 19 – 21 March 2025. Monad partners can claim £25 off delegate tickets by using the code “MonadCustomer” at the checkout. Full details of our sessions are below.

Ticketing 101

Asking and answering the questions we’re too scared to ask

Thursday 20 March, 10:45am

This is a session we’ve been wanted to run for years. So many of the people using Monad in their organisations tell us that they just ‘fell into the role’ and wish they had learned some of the basics earlier on. While there is so much experience in the industry, it’s sometimes siloed in individual people or teams but with a system that is designed to handle the diverse requirements of the arts, sports, festivals, attraction and event industries we’re in a special position where we can help share best practice.

Our theatre partners and racecourse partners have very different products to sell, to audiences with a very slim Venn diagram crossover, but have very similar challenges and we know that by sharing knowledge and experiences we can all benefit.

So we’re excited that Michelle Campbell, general manager from Wetherby Racecourse & Conference Centre and Akilah Dale, box office manager from The Cockpit in London, will be joining Martin Gallagher-Mitchell, Monad’s general manager to chat through some of the audience’s burning questions.

Ask a developer

Friday 21 March, 11:30am

Another session that we’ve wanted to chair for several years, inspired by the comic below we want to fling open developer’s doors and let you ask the questions you want. “Why are the system you use the way they are? Why aren’t they better? Why is it so hard for you to get the functionality you want, need or were promised?” If you’ve ever wanted to know why it’s so hard to just add a button that “just does that thing”, come and ask!

Ben Curthoys, Monad’s CEO and founder will be joined by Rob Walters, PatronBase’s Solution Architect Hatti Simpson, Nimax Theatres’ Head of Ticketing keeping the developers on track and posing the questions suggested in the room.
