The database server stopped unexpected last night at approximately 18:26. We immediately tried to reboot it as a first step, and it came back online at approximately 18:41.
So far we have found nothing in the log files to indicate why it stopped. Our best guess was that it was a glitch on the underlying EC2 hardware. As a precautionary measure, we’re going to set up a new server and then migrate databases to it.
