In the next version there will be a user interface allowing you to manually edit which seats are in the buffer zone for other seats:
Also, rather than using scripts to apply social distancing rules directly to performances, we will be applying the rules to the seating layouts, and then copying them onto performances, which means we will no longer have to intervene in the database between the performance being set up and being put on sale.
