New integration between Yesplan and Monad

“Today’s cultural organisations need smart systems to track their expenditure and their incomes,” says Andrew Thomas of Yesplan.

When you’re writing apps and software, it can be really tempting to try to be all things to all people. That carries its own risk: as new features are added, the original app starts to lose focus. The things that made that product so great at the start get lost in a sea of extras, and often stop working as well as a result.

At Monad, our aim is to be the best ticket sales app we can be. That’s why, instead of adding features that distract from our core mission, we focus on integrating with other systems that do their own thing well. For marketing, that’s MailChimp. For fundraising, that’s Raiser’s Edge (spoilers!). And now, for venue management, that’s Yesplan.

Why do you need a venue management application? Lots of venues manage their rooms and resources through calendar apps and spreadsheets. They do the job, but life gets complicated when you’re sharing information and allocating tasks - especially when you involve outside stakeholders like promoters.

That’s where Yesplan comes in. With its easy-to-use interface and a quick, consistent workflow, a dedicated venue management app like Yesplan makes it much easier for an unlimited number of collaborators to work together on making events run smoothly.

Yesplan is widely used in Belgium and the Netherlands, and now it’s come to the UK (among other places). We’re integrating them to give our customers the opportunity to view ticket sales, attendance statistics and marketing analytics alongside venue capacity, staffing and operational resources.

Our very own Ben Curthoys has this to say about the integration:

At Monad, we always aim to collaborate with best-of-breed systems that share our fundamental principles of usability, visibility and affordability. Integration with Yesplan allows our customers to use an outstanding venue management application, without compromising our core values and excellence as a provider of ticketing and sales support.

(Well, he didn’t say it quite like that, but it’s my job to dress things up a bit.)

Andrew Thomas adds:

The link between Monad and Yesplan is a perfect example of technology helping staff and the sector save time and money whilst sharing valuable data between departments.
