Monad Ticketing supports arts and event industry partners with innovative COVID-19 features
While the Government’s announcement of a four-week delay to the removal of final restrictions dealt yet another blow to the arts and event industries, Monad Ticketing, the UK-based ticketing system provider is helping its partners adapt to the changing event landscape with innovative new features.
A robust and flexible ticketing, CRM and audience insight solution, Monad Ticketing supports over 30 partners across the UK - from Shetland Arts at the very top to Dorset Opera, its most recently launched system, at the very bottom.
Working across industries from traditional performing arts and sporting venues to festivals and academic institutions, Monad Ticketing has continued to adapt its service to best help its partners during their most difficult year:
- During the first period of national lockdown, improved secure content functionality was released, allowing partners to bring live streams and previously recorded productions directly into customer’s homes.
- As the country adjusted to socially distant outdoor activities, the system limited party numbers and provided enhanced data capture for track and trace procedures.
- Now, as partners welcome guests back indoors, flexible seating plans automatically block out the surrounding area to give ticketholders the space they need to confidently engage with events safely.
Ben Curthoys, Monad’s Founder and MD, said: “There’s no doubt that the last year has been the hardest any of our partners has seen. Supporting them to adapt each time the goalposts have shifted, has been our number one focus.
“We’re already seeing promising signs of improved visitor confidence in areas with lower restrictions, for example with our partners on some of the Scottish islands, and we’re hearing reports of strong sales across the board for events later this year and into 2022.”
Erin Boswell, Thirsk Racecourse’s Sales and Marketing Manager, said: “Since going live with Monad earlier this year, the process of getting tickets on sale through to scanning racegoers through the gates at our first fixture earlier this month, has been simple and smooth. The support from the team has been brilliant and we feel confident in the system to allow us to welcome visitors back safely.”
Looking forward, Monad Ticketing is expanding into further territories with the forthcoming launch of the Australian Shakespeare Company’s new ticketing portal, while later this year the first bilingual service will launch with the National Youth Arts Wales ticketing solution.
