Whilst at the Ticketing Professionals Conference I had a look at this neat little bit of kit from Stimare (Saveo is a brand name of theirs):
It’s a tiny bar code scanner on a ring that connects over Bluetooth to a mobile phone and should work with both our built in scanner web app and with codeREADr. And much cheaper than full size things like

(which have the advantage of having a battery to power the phone).
Anyway, if you’re looking at scanning e-tickets, this device has just shot to the top of my “to recommend” list.
